Public Complaint Commission Meets HYPREP Board.

As part of efforts to ensure that federal government agencies function maximally within its mandate, the Board and management of public compliant commission has paid a courtesy visit to the board of HYPREP to inquire about the challenges facing the organization and possible ways of solving them for the interest of Ogonis and residents in rivers state,

The federal Commissioner, Public Complaints commission MARSHALL ISRAEL while exchanging pleasantries with the Board chairman MARVIN DEKIL said “I am here with my team as part of our oversight function to inquire into government activities and functions.

HYPREP is an important project of government and we are here to look at what they have achieved so far and there challenges. The Clean-Up exercise is very important to the Ogoni’s and Rivers people at Large and agencies concerned must be committed to it.”

Addressing the Project Coordinator and Staff Of Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project(HYPREP) Marshall ISREAL urged all agencies concerned in the cleanup of Ogoniland to be committed to it.

in his Responses the Project coordinator of HYPREP Marvin Dekil thanked the Public Compliant board for their visit. He said the borad was established to implement the report of the united nation in Ogoni land.

he said the organization is already carrying out Remediation activities on various site as well as providing lively hood in communities in Ogoni land. he hinted that HYPREP have also began the process of provision of water in communities. he thanked the ogonis for their peaceful disposition towards the project.
