Police in rivers state says they are trailing hoodlums who attacked and burnt the house of former Secretary to state government chief Sampson Agbaru in Ndele, Emuoha local government area.
The police public relation officer Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the incident to our correspondent he said the hoodlums are suspected cultist in the area who invaded the former SSG home and set it on fire.
The police PRO also confirmed the abduction of an Anglican Vicar and his aid kidnapped in the same community by the gunmen.
He said police has also launched an investigation to ascertain the level of damage to the building and also to get the two persons kidnapped released. Our correspondent also visited the home of the former SSG Sampson Agbaru in port Harcourt, although she was unable to interview the Octogerian who was attending meeting upon meeting with various sympathizers, friends, family. Chiefs and community people reports that the chief is stable and healthy.
