Appeal Court Set To Deliver Judgement On The Execution Of Ken Saro Wiwa And 9 Others

The Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt is expected to deliver judgment today on the case between the Conscience of Ogoni People and the Federal Government over the judgment of the Ogoni Civil Disturbances Tribunal.

The Conscience of Ogoni People had gone to Court to set aside the judgment of the Ogoni Civil Disturbances Tribunal that sentenced human rights activist Ken Sato Wiwa and others to death.

You could recall that the human rights activist Ken Saro Wiwa and nine others were sentenced to death on 30th and 31st October 1995 and were executed on November 10th 1995.
