Journalist and workmen were yesterday greeted with an early morning fire drills at the Bayelsa state Broadcasting company of Nigeria. Worker could not ascertain what triggered the fire as everyone ran for safety.

The General Manager Radio Bayelsa, Doctor John Idumange while describing the incident as a monumental loss to the state, said the studio, recording studio, Account department, transmission room and some other offices were all raised down by the fire.
He however expressed happiness that despite the damage no life was lost in the unfortunate incident. He said details of the curse of the fire will made available to the public in shortest time.
