As the war on cultism rages on in and around the university community another dead body identified as an engineering student of the Rivers State University suspected to have been killed on Wednesday by cultists in the Ada George area of Port Harcourt.
The student later identified as Linus Chioma, was allegedly on his way to school but was found dead on the road with some machete wounds on his body.
This is coming less than 48 hours after a final year student of RSU, Prince Barisua, was shot dead near the female hostel within the university.
The Police Public Relation Officer in Rivers state, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, who confirmed the attack of the student identified as Montana Million said the body of the 300 level student of marine Engineering in Rivers State University was found in a bush close to Ignatius Ajuru University at Iwofe this morning. police has launched an investigation into the matter and would bring perpetrators to justice
He also hinted that two persons arrested by police in connection with the cult clash that led to the death of Barisua on Monday are helping police with useful confession. the suspects named Elechi Chibuzor and Nnamdi Chibundu, were on Tuesday.
Meanwhile security analyst Price wiro says the cult war if not curtailed may turn out deadly. He said what this means is that the war has started spreading to streets. The implications of this dead body found close to another University is that the cult war may spread to that University.
