Student of Kenpoly Bori have decried the incessant rape and armed robbery attacks matted to students leaving off campus.
The Speaker of Student Union Government parliament Bayonne Simeon of KenPoly in Bori in Khana LGA of Rivers State told correspondent that they are worried over the inability of security agencies to protect students living in Off campus lodge in Bori.
He said no fewer than 20 female students had been raped in the last one month They also said the robbery is on daily basis.
Some of the victims also told our correspondent that the gunmen only targets student living off campus. They said despite repeated reports at Bori police station nothing seems to be done
Bayonne Simeon the Speaker of Student Union Government parliament and Manson Dumlebabari the Chief Judge of Student Union Government of KenPoly Bori in Khana LGA of Rivers State in a chat with revelation agents expressed disappointment over the inability of security agencies to protect students living in Off campus lodge in Bori.
They called on the Civil Rights Council to draw the attention of the Police to their suffering due to incessant robbery of students and rape of female students by gunmen targeting only student accommodation.
Meanwhile the police in Bori said it has not received any of such complaints from the student body neither do they have robbery report of students of Kenpoly at its disposal
The police public relation officer of Rivers state command Nnamdi Omoni said the DPO of Bori said no such report of rape and robbery was reported at the station
He however said the command will put machinery in place to curb the menace.
