A peace Advocate and a concerned Omoku indigene Bright Abali has appealed to the Nigeria police Force to release arrested members of OSPAC local vigilante group operating in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni LGA.
Bright Abali told correspondent that members of OSPAC was whisked away last week by a deployment of military personnel who later handed them over to the police.
He said the continuous detention and evacuation of OSPAC members away from the street of ONELGA has left residents of the local government anxious and afraid of a return of security challenges witnessed in time past.
When contacted the police public relation officer Nnamdi Omoni said he is not aware of the arrest and detention of OSPAC members.
Meanwhile Bright Abali Has called on all concerned Ogba Egbema- Ndoni Indigenes to join in calling for the release of OSPAC Members Billed to be taken to Court today, in His words ‘’Clarion call to all concerned citizens to join us in Court to chant for the release of OSPAC today in PH, if the forces fail to release them today 29th August. He said residents will give them resounding welcome
Recall that on the 23rd of august a security Analyst and the spokesman of Civil Rights Council CRC Price Wiro Had reported on the alleged incident that led to the arrest of OSPAC members from their base in ONELGA LGA.
Prince WIRO Wrote: ‘’Reports reaching us this morning says four officials of ONELGA Security and Advisory Planning Committee(OSPAC) in Omoku, Rivers State were whisked away yesterday night by men on Military uniform over issues bordering on alleged shooting of a yet to be identified lady.
The shooting, we learned was due to accidental discharge. The way about the four official is still unknown. OSPAC contributed immensely to the death of ‘Don Wayne’ the notorious cultist, killer and kidnapper of all time in Omoku. They also contributed largely to relative peace in Omoku.
Meanwhile, Chief Goodluck Okoro, OSPAC Commander General as well as the Nnamdi Omoni is yet to respond text messages sent to their mobile line by Revelation Agents neither did they pick calls put across to them this morning. But there is serious tension, there are indications that they may have been whisked away to Army barrack in Elele.
But they are billed to appear in court today!
