A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has fixed Friday 13th September to hear the suit filed by the Action African Congress AAC seeking to restrain the President of Court of Appeal from constituting a new panel for the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal.
The Action African Congress AAC has filed the suit following a letter by the candidate of the party BIOKPOMABO AWARA to the President of the Court of Appeal to reconstitute the panel of judges at the tribunal.
The presiding Judge, Justice Kolawale Omotosho after hearing the arguments from the parties involved in the matter adjourned the case for hearing on Friday.
Meanwhile, lawyer of AAC HENRY BELLO said they were in court to restrain the President of the Court of Appeal from disbanding the present panel of judges.
EMENIKE EBETE, the lawyer to the candidate of AAC BIOKPOMABO AWARA said they will prepare for their defence before the next adjourned date.
