The Public Complaints Commission says its seeking ways and partnership with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in the fight against administrative injustice and corrupt practices in the oil and gas sector.
The Rivers State Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission HON. MARSHALL ISRAEL made the plea when he led officials of PCC on a working visit to the Zonal Head Office of the DPR in Port Harcourt.
Marshall ISRAEL said the ‘’visit became necessary following increasing Complaints of cases of administrative injustice and corrupt practices in oil and gas industry as well as controversy with host communities of oil and gas companies’’.
He recounted the success of the Commission within a year of his assumption of Office, insisted that collaboration between the two Government agencies will help end the challenges.
In his response, the Zonal Operations Controller of Department of Petroleum Resources, BASSEY NKANGA commended the Commission for their efforts and assured them of their collaboration and partnership for the betterment of Nigeria society. He equally adumbrated on the functions of the DPR and her contribution to the Nigerian economy.
