Gunmen on Tuesday night abducted and killed a Yola based journalist working with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria after whisking him from his home.
The journalist identified as Maxwell Nashon’s corpse was recovered behind the perimeter fence of the broadcasting station with his hands bound and multiple stab wounds.
Reports says his corpse was found by some women going to farm that morning (Tuesday).” And the body removed by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps after the women raised the alarm.
The Secretary of the Adamawa State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Fidelis Jockhan, said they had contacted the FRCN over the incident and called on the state government to probe the death of the journalist and ensure that his killers were apprehended.
