As the drama between the Eagle Crack (Commissioner Squad) Police unit in Mile 1 Diobu unfolds over alleged torture to death of one mechanic in Omoku Chima Okwunado, the Inspector General of Police has invited Eagle Crack commander to Abuja to give details of how a suspect died in their custody.
Lawyers to the family of Okwunado said the police did not tell them when they tortured Late Chima to death, they only found out four days ago after they went to prison to look for him as the police Hurriedly arraigned 4 others arrested with Chima to court on allegations of cultism after robbing them of 150,000 naira.
Meanwhile the convener of “End SARS” Segun Sega Awonyansa who is also a Human Rights Activist and a Lawyer said the Force Head Headquarters, Nigerian Police has ordered the Commissioner of Police in Rivers state to bring the Commander of Eagle Crack and all the officers involved to Abuja for questioning.
According to him Comrade Philip a Human Rights Activist who is coordinating the matter in Rivers State. He has assured him that Justice will be done. He has also indicated interest to work in synergy with Civil Rights Council to ensure that the officers involved in the murder of the late mechanic Chima Okwunado face the full wrath of the law.
