The governorship candidate of Action Alliance in the last governorship election in Imo State, Uche Nwosu, on Friday denied that he approached the Supreme Court to declare him governor in place of Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Uche Nwosu, a son in-law to former governor Rochas Okorocha, stated this while addressing journalists in Abuja.
He said reports in some sections of the media that he had approached the apex court to take advantage of a previous ruling in his favour were not correct. That he didn’t make attempt to claim the victory at the apex court.
He described the report as, “mischievous, false and a handiwork of desperate elements who are discomforted over the new found sense of reconciliation and peace within the party.”
He added, “It is obvious that some elements are still living in the past, but I and indeed all my followers and supporters are looking into the future with assurances of a brighter hope for Imo State.
“If for nothing else, the emergence of Senator Hope Uzodimma has re energized the Party and brought all members of the APC in Imo State on the same page.”
