The People’s Democratic Party has asked the APC to stop shopping for Supreme court review and ask for the prosecution of its sacked deputy governor elect Degi-Eremienyo to be investigated and punished for forgery.
The national chairman of PDP Uche Secondus said ‘‘The APC is employing many tactics to get back what they have lost. They are busy addressing press conferences. They have refused to ask questions from their candidate why he is bearing many names in his certificates.
But Degi Eremienyo who is David Lyon’s running mate on Friday reacts to Supreme Court verdict:
He said “I applied to the court (Federal High Court) to subpoena the institutions that issued those certificates, but surprisingly the PDP refused the application and the trial court said it was a ploy to delay trial”
“The Appeal Court set aside the judgment of the trial court because the Federal High Court did not allow me to tender evidences against the cases brought by the PDP against him”
“The issuing authorities were not called to verify my credentials.”
“Justices of the Supreme Court judgment who gave judgment on my case stretched the wordings of the law to bring my reputation to disrepute”
“I condemn in strong terms all forms of forgery. I have never been associated with forgery. All the certificates I submitted to INEC were acquired by me. Thank God those institutions that issued the certificates are still in existence.”
“All d names appearing on my documents as presented to INEC are genuine. I will support every investigation on my certificate”
