Gunmen numbering about four on Tuesday night in what is believed to be targeted attacks on Diobu Vigilante members shot one of the vigilantes at D-Tiger axis of Illabouchi,Mile 2 diobu.

Confirming the incident in a Telephone chat,Secretary of Diobu Vigilante group,Prince Amatari explained that information available to him indicates that the Gunmen who drove in Toyota Camry vehicle stormed the street at about 8:20PM and opened fire on one of the vigilante members,Mr Kelvin Dappa.

Mr. Amatari explained that the Gunmen were fully armed. He said Mr Dappa was shot at the Buttocks and the gunshot pierced his laps.
We learnt that the victim is currently receiving treatment at Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.
The matter has been reported to Azikiwe Divisional Police Headquarters.
It would be recalled that Prince Amatari narrowly escaped death on the 20th of September 2018 when gunmen suspected to be assassins invaded his residence and killed two persons.

Security analyst suggest that the gunmen may be cultists and armed robbers who have not been able to carried out their operations due to clampdown on them by members of Diobu Vigilante in collaboration with Security agencies.
