Organized Labour Union In Rivers State Suspend Strike Action to Join Government In Combating The Scourge Of Coronavirus

Organized labour in rivers State has announced the suspension of its on-going strike action embarked upon midnight 23rd March 2020 due to the unfolding developments in the state including coronavirus pandemic and the directive from its national headquarters of NLC AND TUC

A statement jointly signed by the chairperson of NLC BEATRICE ITUBO and TUC Chairman in Rivers State AUSTIN JONAH said the strike is suspended pending the stabilization of the scourge

The statement urge workers to resumes work tomorrow 27th March 2020 as part of its efforts and sacrifice in curtailing the pandemic which is already having ravaging effects on the society.

The statement also commends all the affiliate, Member and workers in general for their doggedness, commitments and sacrifice in the cause of the strike action.
