Caverton Helicopters Pilots Has Approval To Operate For 3 Months Certified By The Minister Of Aviation For Covid19 Lockdown

The Nigeria Air Space Management Authority NAMA Approval – COVID19 Restriction

The documents obtained from a reliable source indicates that the carveton operates the Helicopter shuttle for shell SPDC operations and duly obtained clearance from the minister of Aviation for special operations during the lockdown of the coronavirus pandemic.

We also gathered that the approval to operate was granted for a period of three months and subject to renewal afterwards if the coronavirus pandemic continues.

The flights which has been running shuttle operations on Shell rigs in Forcados in Warri and Finnima was on an essential service and had embarked on crew change before the incident in port Harcourt.

The document states that the honorable minister of aviation has Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) as established by the Act of Parliament No. 48, commencement date of 29th May 1999, as a body corporate with perpetual succession and common seal to operate for three months.

The agency has a governing board headed by a part time chairman, he is appointed by the president commander in-chief of the armed forces for a term of four years

Also approved to fly includes AERO Contractor, BRISTOW Helicopter CAVERTON Helicopters And ARIK Airlines
