Catholic Bishop Of Port Harcourt Urge Priest/Members To Shun Crowded Places By Worshiping Online For The Easter Celebrations

The Catholic Diocese of Port Harcourt  has called on priest, Religious and Laity of port Harcourt  Diocese to continue with observing and serving Mass Online and the approved stations where Mass Celebration is aired nationwide

a statement signed by the Bishop of port Harcourt Diocese Camillus  Etokudoh deeply appreciate the governor of Rivers state for temporarily relaxing the restriction on large religious gatherings for Moslem on Friday and for christian on Sunday to have their full congregation celebration.

he said however in the face of the threats of covid19 and having prayerfully considered the implication of risk to our expected crowded congregation on a normal Easter Sunday celebrations we hereby request  you priest and lay  faithfuls to continue to keep to the CBCN and our diocesan pastoral directives and guidelines for the celebration of Holy week including Easter Sunday till further notice
