The University of Port Harcourt has denied the identity of the two male out of the 3 uniport student gruesomely murdered by a gang of suspected cultists and dumped at a forest in Eteoo Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Their corpse were said to be discovered after a careful investigation by men of the Anti kidnapping unit of the Rivers State police command led by CSP Edward Shadar.
Spokesman for the university Dr. William Wodi, in a Telephone interview with our correspondent denied knowledge of the two boys but maintained that only Joy Adoki Was their student and that the two male victims were not undergraduates of the institution as they don’t have any records of the two boys.
He said “Only the girl (Joy Favour Adoki) is a student of UNIPORT and that the other two are not, ”That the girl is of Management Science Faculty who resides off-campus at Alakahia,” was expected to be with her parents after the closure of the university since March due to the outbreak of coronavirus as all universities where instructed to shut down by NUC.
Recall that on Friday 1st of May 2020 The State Police Command led a team of Journalists to a forest at Eteoo in ELEME LGA where one suspect FRIDAY AKPAN Identified the decomposing bodies of Nelson Nwafor, Fortune Obemba, and Joy Adoki
According to the Police Public Relation Officer of the Rivers state command NNAMDI OMONI said the victims were abducted on 7TH APRIL 2020 from Choba where identified as UNIPORT undergraduates.
