The Rivers state police command has distributed personnel protective equipment to all police men on lock down duty
Distributing the PPEs to all the police men at various check points. The police public relations officer Nnamdi Omoni said the aim is to protect men of the Nigeria police on duty against the ravaging Coronavirus pandemic.
He urged the police men on duty to use the PPEs to protect themselves before protecting others.
The police public relations officer Nnamdi Omoni also appeal to police men at the manning various police check points to be professional in dealing with members of the public especially in this lock down
Our Correspondent reports that the distribution which started from RUMUOWUTA in Obio Akpor into ADAGEORGE ROAD, all through the stretch of Ikwerre Road to Borokiri axis, UPE, Waterfronts in Port Harcourt city then back to the state Headquarters at Moscow road.
Men of the Nigeria police command together with their sister agencies were seen on their duty formations to ensure that residents complied with the lock down.
