One Shot Dead At Bishop Okoye Mile 3 Port Harcourt: Two Weeks After 2 Persons Were Shot Dead Over Matching Ground Fees From Traders Following Deygbam/Iceland Cult Clashes


Wild protest occurred this morning at the Ikwerre Road axis of Mile3 after some suspected cultists took to the streets of mile 3 robbing residents and motorist of their belongings.

Our correspondent who arrived the scene after gathered that the protest was connected to the shooting to death of a suspected Deygbam cult member identified as Leo who was allegedly shot to death by suspected Iceland cult members this Friday 20th May 2020 early morning at Bishop Okoye street, Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt,

An eye witness also told our correspondent that four men reportedly riding on a Toyota saloon vehicle on getting to where the Leo was simply opened fire on their prey and speed off.

We gathered that persons suspected to be his members put him in a wheelbarrow and took him to a compound in Chigbu street where some of his friends reside.

The spokesperson of Rivers State Police command DSP Nnamdi Omoni in a Telephone said he is aware of the incident but details are still sketchy.

You would recall that cult war between suspected Deygbam and Iceland Cult groups in Mile 3 diobu over ‘matching ground’ fee two weeks ago claimed two lives, One Chisco Uzoma,a suspected Iceland cult member and one Saidu Waisu a suspected Deygbam Cult member was killed.

The spokesperson of Rivers State Police command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni had confirmed the Killing of Chisco Uzoma. In the case of Saidu Waisu He promised to get back to our reporter after getting in touch with the DPO.

Meanwhile The residents if 8 Chigbu street where the cultist abandoned the corpse of their member also called on Police authorities to come and move the corpse
