The Rivers State government says it has withdrawn its suit against the two pilots of Caverton Helicopters Limited and the 10 passengers who flouted the state executive order on COVID-19.
Commissioner of Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim, said the Attorney General withdrew and discontinued the two charges (PMC/532C/2020 and PMC/533C/2020) preferred against the pilots of Caverton Helicopters and their 10 passengers aboard.
Consequent on the withdrawal of the matter, the presiding Chief Magistrate, D. D. Ihua-Maduenyi, therefore, struck out the charges and discharged the defendants.
