26 Years old mother of 5 is calling on the police to provide the whereabouts of her husband who was allegedly arrested on the 19th of April 2020 by Men believed to be Men of Special Anti Robbery squad.
The 26years old woman Confidence Chukwudi says she and her family lives in Igwuruta in Ikwerre LGA in River state. she alleged that on the 19th of April the Chief Security officer of Ikwerre Local Government Area Mr Mr Samuel Oboni led a team of officers from the Special Anti Robbery Unit in Ikwerre to take away her husband after beating him for no reason
Confidence called on the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, the Rivers State Police commissioner Joseph Mukan to prevail on the Ikwerre Local Government Chairman to ask the Chief security Officer of the council to produce her husband Mr Chukwudi Emenike as she can not cater for the family of 5 young children and aged parents alone.Meanwhile the Ikwerre Local Council through its press officer Chris Omodu has dismissed the allegations.
The mother of CHUKWUDI GODSPOWER also raised alarm over the arrest of her son by men of Special Anti-Robbery Squad Which they claimed was lead by the Chief Security Officer of Ikwerre Local Government Council, saying that they have visited three station without the presence or seeing her son and father of five children and pleaded with the police authority to release her son.
Rivers State Police Command has promise to Investigate the arrest of CHUKWUDI GODSPOWER in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.
The Command Public Relations Officer, NNAMDI OMONI while reacting to alarm by the wife of the victim on his disappearance said the command will not fail to discipline any airing officer and men as well as civilians after Investigation.
OMONI who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police expressed concern that members of the public instead of reporting such incident to police runs to the media, he said ”although the police is not ignorant of infiltrators”.
DSP OMONI encourage members of the public to always put calls across wherever anyone comes in the name of police or any force for arrest to avoid falling into the hands of kidnappers.
