The two women 54 years old Fanny Ukoha and 22 years old precious Samuel Are standing trials on 3 count charge for conspiracy, abduction, child trafficking for selling and taking away 4 years old Moses Godbless from his mother mama put joint close to a brothel in Ahaoda LGA.
When the matter was brought up the Judge wondered why the police left out a third suspect in the matter who had earlier admitted to police that he had sold 10 babies in the past. according to the statement he made at Ahoada police division
The judge, Magistrate AMAKA AMANZE ordered that the police must produce the third suspect Richard Emefule who had earlier confessed at CHOBA divisional police but was allegedly granted bail by the police despite confessing he had sold ten children in the past in his statement in the next adjourned date of 15th September 2020
Lawyers to the first and second defendant had earlier applied for bail for the suspects, he said the defendants are willing to stand trial as they can produce responsible shortee but the Police Prosecutor Inspector C. NWOKWE opposed the bail application saying the child in question have not been found and castes doubts that the accused if granted bail will abscond since they gave police hard time to track.
Father of the missing child 41 years old Godbless Okpiri from ADADI iN odual ABUA Local government area in Rivers state said one of the suspect Precious Samuel is well known to his family. That the said precious allegedly took three of his children out including the missing child away from mothers mama-put joint under the guise of going to buy bread for them since last year and the son is yet to return. the distrust father said when he returned from his menial jobs, he asked the wife where the children had gone to and upon her explanation, it immediately donned on them to go look for their children. he said two out of the children were found along Ahaoda roadside waiting for the precious to return and they immediately took hold and the two children and till today the four years old is yet to return
