The family of Victoria Ibrahim who was allegedly shot dead by OSPAC member in Rumukpe Community has raised alarm over the alleged failure of the Police to arrest the suspect linked to the killing.
The cousin to the victim, Baron Wisdom in an interview with our correspondent alleged that contrary to the insinuation that the suspect has been arrested he is still walking freely in the village.
Mr Wisdom disclosed that his sister was shot for no known cause by the OSPAC member.
He revealed that the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) and the Divisional Crime Officer(DCO) reportedly visited the scene on the day of the incident.
When contacted, the commander of OSPAC in Emohua LGA, Emeka Wori, said he learnt about the incident. He said our reporter should call him back that he was in a meeting. He however did not pick several calls put across to him later.
Meanwhile an individual of Emohua LGA and a Human Rights Advocate, Prince Wiro who is also the Secretary Board of Trustee Centre For Basic Rights And Accountability Campaign has expressed worry over human rights abuses suffered by women perpetrated by persons said to be OSPAC members in Emohua LGA.
Mr. Wiro called on the Authority of the Council, Police Authority in the state And the leadership of OSPAC in Emohua to curtail the abuses and ensure perpetrators of the crime face justice.
