Friends and family members have taken to Facebook to demand justice for a young lady, Esther Ita Stephen, who was allegedly gang raped and murdered by suspected hoodlums in her Nsukara Offot community of Akwa Ibom state.
Esther was said to have been ambushed, raped and killed by unknown assailants on Wednesday afternoon, October 28, 2020.
According to Edwin Edem, a member of the community, this is the third case of rape and murder in the community in the last six months.
A report by an Akwa Ibom based journalist, Divine Sam, says ten women have been assaulted while two of them lost their lives.
Members of the community have called for justice for Esther.
