Hot Debate: Governor Umahi Defection To APC Shows That Some Igbo Politicians Are Becoming Conscious Politically, True Or False?

Here are a few postulations from south east people who have been reacting since the news of Umahi Defection to APC filtered the airwaves.
Anayo Jasper says: People are doing their personal business and we keep disturbing ourselves over which platform they wish to use to sell their goods.
Migration from one party to another is a personal interest affair for Nigeria politicians, it has no public interest attached to it.
Many will still happen before next general election, we’re eye witness to how dogara former speaker moved to PDP get what he wants and today he is back to apc, those conversant with rivers politics will know Chidi Lloyd, a staunch apc stakeholder and most critics of the wike administration but today where is he, he is now pdp with the governor.
For me they do defect to remain in power, nothing more.
For Ezenwa Donalds: let’s not forget that politics is a game of personal interest and my able governor made his choice.
I see nothing wrong with what he did beside, PDP and APC are just twins but with different garment
do you know that PDP will not zone presidency to southeast in 2023. Umahi joining APC shows that some Igbo politicians are becoming conscious politically.
It is an undeniable fact that the Southeast states has the highest numbers of legitimate delegates to any PDP National conventions(state wise) because of the long years of the umbrella party leadership in the southeast,
instead of decamping and splitting this our historical and numerical strengths in PDP, I’m of the opinion that we come out with one voice, nominate a consensus candidate for the Presidency,
Liaise with the South-South, the Southwest and North-central PDP caucus and stakeholders to support our candidate,
With that, we will have a Presidential candidate from the Southeast under PDP- Emmauel Udeagha
