Nigeria’s third highest goal scorer, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, has labelled Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, as the worst coach in Nigeria’s football history.
In the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Leone Stars last week, the Super Eagles surrendered a four-goal lead in the first leg to settle for a 4-4 draw, while the return leg in Freetown this week ended 0-0, with Rohr’s team unable to show any technical superiority in both games.
Nigeria’s qualification hopes for Cameroon 2020 could be smashed if they don’t win their last two games.
“The coach is not good enough, let him go,” Yakubu says.
“Our football is getting worse every day. When I was there, people criticise us, but we’re way better than these ones.
“The coach is not good enough, no clue. Gernot Rohr is one of the worst coaches in our history. He is not good enough.”
