Confirming the arrest on Friday, November 20, the command’s spokesperson, ASP Waisu Abiodun, in a statement said the suspect Abubakar Maidobo confessed to the heinous crime, claiming that it was an act of God.
It was gathered that the suspect used a cutlass to kill the victims, 8-year-old Umar Abubakar, and Shehu Abubakar, 4, and hid the corpses in the bush in separate sacks.
According to the spokesperson, “During interrogation, suspect confessed to the crime and claimed that the incident was an act of God. The corpses were taken to General Hospital Nasko for autopsy. Case under investigation.”
