Rivers Anti-corruption Network Drags Rivers State Government, Accountant General To Court Over Refusal To Disclose The Financial Cost Of Flyovers & Other Projects Executed In Port Harcourt

The Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, called up  Rivers Anti-corruption Network Matter that was filed against the Rivers State Government and the Rivers State Accountant General in Pursuant to order 3 Rule 1 and 2 of the federal high court (civil procedure) Rules 2019, Section 251 (1) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Section 1,3, 7 and 25 of the Freedom of information act 2011 and under the inherent jurisdiction of the honorable court.

The Honorable Justice Omotosho asked that the defendant, Rivers State Government and the accountant General of the state be re-served separately so that they won’t have any excuse not to appear before the court again and the case adjourned to 21st January 2021. The Honorable Justice Omotosho asked that our lawyer obtain a certified true copy of the originating summons in court.
