Recruitments: Police Begins Training For Special Constables Today At Nonwa

PRESS RELEASE
COMMENCEMENT OF TRAINING FOR SPECIAL CONSTABULARIES.
The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform the general public, particularly candidates who applied for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Special Constabularies to check their names at the Police Headquarters, Moscow Road on Thursday, 3rd December, 2020 as names of the 1st Batch of candidates have been shortlisted for training.
2. Candidates shortlisted are expected to proceed immediately to the Police Training School, (PTS) Nonwa for eight (8) weeks training programme, which commenced on Monday, 30/11/2020.
3. Shortlisted candidates are to report to the Commandant on arrival with the following training kits:
i. A pair of white canvas and stockings
ii. A pair of black canvas and stockings
iii. One bucket
iv. One broom
v. One cutlass
vi. Lantern
vii. Writing materials.
4. The Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph G. Mukan, psc(+) further wishes to inform the public that the names shortlisted represent the 1st Batch as other batches will follow in due course accordingly, while wishing the successful candidates the very best of the exercise and warning them to maintain high level of discipline during the exercise and avoid acts capable of compromising the good intentions of the Inspector-General of Police in his drive to entrench community policing for peaceful and secured environment.
