The Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign have called on the Management of Rivers State University(RSU) to synergies with the Police to unravel the circumstance that led to the reported attempted kidnap of a female student of the institution by a suspected shuttle driver and some persons in the school environment over the weekend.
The Management of RSU must do all within the confines of the law in collaboration with the Police to ensure the perpetrators are brought to book.
The Management of the institution owe it a duty to protect live and property on campus and must put adequate measures in place to guarantee optimum security at all time on campus.
We commend the Students of the University for their peaceful disposition and maturity in the face of obvious provocation .We equally call for the immediate profiling of all shuttle drivers in RSU with a view to ascertaining the identity and antecedent of persons involved in the business.
