This is not really a good time to be an arsenal fan,

Gunners crashed to a fourth successive home league defeat for the first time since 1959 on Sunday night.

Though flying in the Europa League, Arsenal have made their worst start to a top-flight season in almost 40 years and went into their latest Sunday night home clash sitting 15th and as close to the relegation zone as they were to the top six.

Granit Xhaka was then inexplicably sent off for violent conduct – grabbing the throat of Burnley midfielder Ashley Westwood – when the Gunners were applying pressure at 0-0 in the second half.

Arsenal’s misery was then compounded 15 minutes later, when captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – who has struggled for goals this term – headed into his own net while trying to defend a corner at the front post.

The win is Burnley’s first over Arsenal in the Premier League and sees them move out of the relegation zone at the expense of Fulham, who held Liverpool to a draw at Craven Cottage earlier in the day.
