Information at our disposal reveals that the commercial sex worker at a popular brothel in Azikiwe Street Mile 2 diobu, Port Harcourt who was arrested on December 3,2020 after a 40 year old man, Godday Odili died in her room may soon regain her freedom from the Police.
Information at our disposal indicates that the family of the deceased and some chiefs from the village are set to visit State Criminal Investigation Department, Port Harcourt before the end of the week to withdraw the matter and give the deceased a befitting burial before the end of the year.
Insider source disclosed that the family of the deceased in Delta State may have taken the decision after ‘traditional enquiry’ to ascertain what led to the deceased death.
It is believed that the ‘traditional enquiry’ proved that there was no foul play in the death of the deceased hence the decision.
It will be recalled that the family had called for a thorough investigation into the incident accusing the brothel management and Azikiwe Divisional Police headquarters, Illabouchi of complicity.
