CP RIVERS ON A CONDOLENCE VISIT TO THE FAMILY OF LATE ABIODUN JIMOH.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph G. Mukan psc (+) today led Members of his Management Team on a Condolence visit to the family of late Abiodun Jimoh who was killed by a Police Sergeant serving at the Elelenwo Police Station.
2. Receiving the Delegation at the family House, the Wife of the deceased, Mrs Asisat Abiodun thanked the CP for the visit but however condemned the sad incident and called on Authorities of the Police to investigate and ensure that her late husband is given justice. She equally appealed to the Authorities to come to their aid, noting that her late husband who was their breadwinner left so much responsibilities for them. 3. Earlier in his Condolence message, the CP, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu NPM, mni, commiserated with the family and promised to bring about Justice in the circumstance, while appealing to them to maintain restraint and allow the law to take its course. 4. Recall that a Police Sergeant, without recourse to the Provisions of Force Order 237 killed the deceased and is cooling his heels at the State CID and will be due in court as soon as the processes of the Internal Disciplinary Measures are fully exhausted.
