Properties Worth Millions Of Naira Destroyed, Families Rendered Homeless As Policemen Suspected To Be IGP Monitoring Aluu Allegedly Invaded Ekwune Community In Igboo Etche

The family members and residents of Ekwune land in Igboagwuasa clan in Igboo Etche Kingdom in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State have been rendered homeless and properties destroy by men suspected to be IGP monitoring Unit, Aluu.

Our correspondent who visited the place, reports that buildings were Forcefully brought  down and properties worth millions Naira damaged while inhabitants were seen lamenting over their loss and frustration of moving on without any form of compensation.

The Paramount Ruler of Ekwune, Eze INNOCENT alleged that Operatives of IGP monitoring Unit in company of a lawyer and unidentified young men invaded their Community, demolished houses, destroyed properties before arresting two members of the family without any court orders.

Eze NWOSU called on Inspector General of Police, Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Governor NYESOM WIKE and Traditional institution in Etche and Rivers state at large to urgently intervene to save them from injustice and humiliation.

When our Correspondent contacted the commander of IGP monitoring Unit, Aluu, He denied sending his men to Igboo Etche for any Operations But the two family members of Ekwune who were arrested have been traced to be in the custody of IGP Aluu.

The state police spokesman Nnamdi Omoni Is yet to issue statement or comment regarding the arrest or destruction of properties in Ekwune
