E-Crack Police Officers Unknowingly Left Their Phone In The Victims Car After Extorting 3 Uniport Undergraduates Of 150K

Three undergraduate students of University of Port Harcourt has accused officers of Eagle Crack Squad of the Rivers state police command of extorting 150,000 naira from them under the disguise that they were yahoo boys.

One of The Uniport final year undergraduate who gave his name as Victor E, told correspondent Anita Ogona that he drove out with his friend to get food for his sick girlfriend on the 16th of February 2021 around Rumualogu/Alakahia car wash in Obio/Akpor Local government area when the officers stopped them for stop and search.

He said after several arguments, the officers collected their phones and threatened to take them to EFCC or use machete on them if they refused to provide them money they had demanded

He further explained that after several attempt to take them round some area, they took them to ATM machine were they made him to withdraw 120 thousand naira cash which is his bank mandatory daily allowed withdrawal and transferred cash of 30 naira to an account provided by the E-cracks officers.

The victims also said luckily for them one of the officer forgot their phone inside their car.
He quickly switched it off so that he can have evidence against them and appeal to the new CP to help them recover their money and bring the culprits to book
