The Inspector General of Police Campaign against Cultism led by Deputy Superintendent of Police, YUSUF IDI in Rivers State have continued their campaign and sensitization on the dangers of cultism in Secondary and Primary Schools in the state.
This time DCP YUSUF IDI led his team to Community Secondary School, Rumurolu Community within Woji area to sensitize the school children on the dangers associated with not just cultism but Rape, Defilement, Fraud and Drug Addict and Abuse.
DSP IDI who addressed the gathering through the State Chairman, Police Campaign against Cultism Port Harcourt Volunteer Club, Ambassador EKE OWUKA said they are in the secondary school to catch them young against joining Cultism.
Ambassador OWUKA said Investigation reveals that Primaries and Secondary School children are most vulnerable as it concerns their Involvement in cult activities, hence the sensitization became necessary just as he encouraged those who mistakenly found themselves in the act to retrace their steps.
On his part, the Paramount Ruler of Rumurolu community, G.N. CHUKWUMGBA commended the Organizer of the program which he said save not just the young people but parents and state at large.
Our Correspondent reports that the spokesman of Rivers State Police Command, SP. NNAMDI OMONI who was represented by his second in command who was the main Speaker and Officer in of Anti-Cultism Unit were on ground to speak to the School Children on the commitment of the security agencies to assist anyone to pull out of the cult gang and to discipline those who will not want to change.
