In the Dani tribe – Indonesia, when their loved ones die, females would have the upper half of their fingers amputated in a ritual to ward off spirits.
It is believed that finger-cutting keeps the deceased person’s restless spirit away, as well as symbolizing the pain of bereavement- and some babies even have their fingers bitten off by their mothers.
Women don suffer for this life sha! Harmful traditional practices must stop
if a particular person or persons looses up to 11/12 loved persons in a life time, what will they be cutting? Or those. Cutting it once also work for those yet to die?

On The flip of this coin no one have ever said anything about the tribe that flogs their men mercilessly just because they want to get married, no one talks about the tradition that sends their male kids into the forest to hunt dangerous animals just to prove they are strong and all other wicked traditions all over the world against men.
Don’t get it twisted both men and women suffer harmful traditional practices.
