Governor Nyesom Wike has accused the Nigerian Air-force of diverting two armoured helicopters worth over $10 Million purchased by the Rivers State Government to fight crude oil theft and sea piracy in the State to fight Boko Haram.
The governor said the State will not hesitate to withdraw the gunboats it is about to present to the Army, Navy and Police if they are deployed for use in other states. The NAF since we didn’t hear why? we are waiting for Nigeria air-force to reply this allegations about the perclater armored Helicopters  bought by former Governor Rotimi Amaechi during his time as governor of the State
The Governor during the re-launched the C4I security outfit, explained that his administration took the decision in order to ensure the safety of lives and property in the State by training personnel of the outfit which includes 400 policemen and 200 civil Defence personnel  He also explained that the “C4i vehicles branded with their Local Government Areas of responsibility have been deployed to each Local Government Area in the state. “To further boost our security in the riverine areas, in the next few weeks the state government would donate a total of fifteen gunboats to the Navy, Army and Police in Rivers State,” because they have in the last month been specially trained in relevant skills to ensure they carry out their duty efficiently. he said.
