Finally Southeast is getting their turn and it is going to be a full blown thing if not hurriedly nipped. The leaders of the zone need to wake up and stop the eye service. This is why the other forms of Insecurity challenges has degenerated.
Southwest maybe winning the war because their leaders were proactive and determined to protect their zone. What is delaying southeast from having a regional security outfit backed by law? How long can we wait? If this new trend does not give concern to our leaders than we have every reason to worry and cry foul.
All this setting up of local vigilante without empowering them should be discouraged. Government should train this locals and empower them with modern gadgets for information gathering. Provide them ammunition and food. We must wake up and help ourselves.
There should be an immediate convocation of Regional Security summit by the Southeast Governor’s and Ohaneze so that we can all come together to deliberate the way out.
