Peaceful Elections Observed In Some LGA, Will Others Recorded A Bit Of Violence

Distribution of sensitive materials started  getting to most polling unit In Obio/akpor late,  at about past 8 am, lot of Adhoc staff were still gathered at the RSEIC office waiting for dispatch.
The roads were mostly  unmanned by any security agents from Rupokwu, stadium road, Aba road to Moscow road, only at Lagos, Aggrey road.

Most of the polling units at Rumukalagbor and Elekahia were filled with voters and Adhoc staff still waiting for materials to arrive the polling units as at past 9 AM. Distribution of sensitive materials still ongoing as at 10:00am  in some Wards

The Election naturally started behind schedule as sorting and distribution of electoral materials was ongoing at the RSIEC office in Port Harcourt as at past 8am. The materials will afterwards be moved to the local government area Ad-hoc staff were seen setting up at various units in these ward in obio/akpor. Eleme and some parts of PHALGA
The situation means there will be a late start of accreditation and voting process across the polling units in the LGA. correspondent  Anita Ogona also reports that in some areas, the Local Government Election in Rivers State was Peaceful while in some Areas, widespread violence was recorded, the picture you see here was in Rumuokwrusi-Atali Ward 3 in Obio-Akpor LGA, In some part of Gokana, Etche and Obio-Akpor,violence was also recordedNo photo description available.
Meanwhile our correspondent reports that traders and bar operators in the area visited were closed down Only in Etche Which Opened  their shops, and buying and selling going  and  Traders going about their businesses.
