Displaced persons in some Andoni Communities, Rivers State are calling for quick intervention from government and relevant agencies.
The residents who were internally displaced as a result of cult clashes, lamented that since they fled their homes to an IDP camp in Kaa Khana local government Area , life have become unbearable for them and their children no longer go to school .
The Internally displaced persons numbering over 2000 who now live at the mercies of their neighboring Communities from Khana local government called on the government and security agencies to urgently proffer solution to the menace of insecurity in the area to enable them return to their homes.
Speaking to our Correspondent ,Principal Universal Basic Education ,UBE; Community secondary School, Mr Oruiko Peter expressed fears that the students might not participate in the forthcoming Junior Secondary Schools Examination slated for 10th of this month as a result of the crisis.
Mr Peter urged government and relevant authorities to swing into action and provide a lasting solution to the matter.
Some of the internally displaced persons who decried the awful situation, Mrs Mercy Lucky , Mr Ediki Frank and Mr Godstime Friday shared their experiences and appealed to Government to do something urgently to enable them return home .
Mrs Lucky, Mr Frank and Mr Friday said life in the camp has become unbearable for them as they have no shelter over their heads, no food to eat and no health care services .
When our Correspondent visited the camp ,a woman who was in Labour put to bed without medical attention.
Our correspondent also sighted children who were supposed to be in school roaming the streets of the community.
Communities affected include Ajakaja ,Dema, Samanga, Otunria, Udung ama , otuafu and several other communities .
