Governor Nyesom Wike on Friday flagged off the 2nd phase of the Saakpenwa-Bori-Kono Road
According to the governor, this phase which is 17.2km long and 22.3m wide road would upon completion have 10.65m on each lane with a 2m wide concrete median. It also will have 2 bridges, 5 kms of drainage and 1,140 streetlight fittings.
Recall that On the 5th of January this year we commissioned the 16km long, 22.3m 1st Phase of the Sakpenwa-Bori-Kono road. During the commissioning i promised our people we would build the 2nd phase of the road which gets up to Kono.
Today i am glad the 2nd phase of the Saakpenwa-Bori-Kono Road has been flagged off. This phase which is a 17.2km long and 22.3m wide road would have 10.65m on each lane with a 2m wide concrete median. It will have 2 bridges, 5 kms of drainage and 1,140 streetlight fittings.
Funding for the project is guaranteed as the project is funded by an Irrevocable Standing Payment Order (ISPO) of One Billion Naira Monthly against the state’s account.
I urge people of the host communities to give CCECC, the construction Company maximum support as i look forward to return in 14 months for the commissioning of this very important.
Those of you putting up fake juju shrines along the road we are constructing to get compensation from the government, let me tell you , shishi you won’t get. Nobody will give you one Naira
Can you imagine, you say you want projects but you want to scare the contractor by decorating fake shrines along the construction site, fa fa fa, foul. It will not work.
Tell your juju to come and see me.
