Coalition Of Civil Society Groups In Rivers State Resolve To Resist Attempts By Any Group To Cause Trouble, Supports Of Police Stand For Protest Free June 12

With the June 12 democracy day around the corner, coalition of civil society groups in the South South region have made their resolve known to resist attempt by any group to cause trouble in the region

The civil Society coalition who marched from the Issac Boro park went through the the DSS office to the police command

Charles Inko-Tariah who spoke on behalf of the group said they believe in peaceful dialogue than crisis,   adding that the South South people will not compromise the unity of the country, He said we believe in peaceful means to sustain any struggle and that the South South people will support the IGP resolve to achieve a peaceful one Nigeria,

 

Responding Commissioner of police Friday Eboka promised to send their message to the Inspector general of police. He thanked the group for being orderly, and for following Rule of  Law. he said some people only believe that it is through Violence that they can get certain things and not rule of law/
