The family of a 16-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by A Paramount Ruler in Ahoada East Local Government Area says it is no longer interested in seeking justice for the teenager due to persistent threats to their lives since reports of the incident hit the media.
EastwestReporters who followed  trend of the investigation reports that  the accused traditional ruler  from Ula-Ehuda community in Ahoada East Local Government Area that the Royal Highness has fleet of ‘bad boys’ and ‘repentant cultists’ from our investigation. We want to ensure the life of the woman and her child is not at risk after they cited alleged threats to the lives of family members as reason for the withdrawal of the case
Recall that last week , EastwestReporters reported  of another rape of  a 14 Year old girl by yet another paramount ruler who used various tactics including the denial by the Government General Hospital that said they do not know where the folder of the 14 year old girl allegedly raped by a Royal Highness was kept until the human rights group center for basic rights and accountability campaign stepped in and the Hospital made a  made U -Turn and have produced the victim’s file and has seen the result of Medical examination conducted on the victim which clearly shows she was defiled.
Meanwhile The coordinator of the Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign, Prince Wiro,  in a statement said the family has officially approached the organization to discontinue with the case.
He said their decision is coming after the organization took the family to the police station and reported the matter. He also said medical test result of the medical examination conducted on the 16-year-old girl in Ahoada General hospital shows she was defiled. but that “The center cannot cry more than the bereaved. We have done our part. We will continue to stand against sexual and gender-based violence,”The human rights group was helping both families to seek for justices for their children now that courts have finally opened  noted that the painful part is that this VVIPs His Royal Highness from Ula-Ehuda in Ahoada East LGA who is being investigated for defiling 16 year old girl was expected to upheld such matter if reported to him and his council
