Residents of Anambra, Ebony and Imo state are still wondering what is stopping its National Assembly to enact and pass into law the Anti open grazing bill to save Farmers from headers clash. EWR
There is Hope as Enugu state Governor signs into Law The Anti Open Grazing Bill Into law.
This is a major relief and generates greater hope and confidence for farmers and communities in Enugu State in reclaiming their farmlands hitherto taken over by Fulani herdsmen. Incalculable damage has been done to countless farms and crops, leaving many communities in a near famine situation. The bill for a law to prohibit open grazing, cattle ranching, and for connected purposes was recently passed by the Enugu House of Assembly and has now been signed into law with the governor’s assent. This bold move, whilst many other south Eastern governors are hiding under their beds and refusing to confront the bull by its horns will certainly go a long way towards improving security in the state by making it clear that the land belongs to the people, and not to cattle.
Kudos, Governor Ugwuanyi. We pray that other south Eastern governors will follow suit, and stand up for their people.
