A letter has emerged online showing the demands some youths of Eligbam, in Rivers State, sent to a company operating in the community.
In the letter, now trending on social media, the youths demand cattle, rice, vegetable oil, tomatoes, onions and cash to celebrate Christmas.
The letter has elicited mixed reactions—as some persons condemn it, claiming it is one of the reasons companies are allegedly leaving the state.
For some others, the demand is understandable. They argue that it is better to make requests than carry arms and guns, thereby stalling the company’s operations in the community.
