Police Uncovers Illegal Engine Oil Manufacturing Site At Mile 2 Diobu In Port Harcourt, Arrest 4 Suspects

The Rivers state police command has again paraded Four suspects who specializes in manufacturing fake Automotive lubricants and sell to the public

According to the police Public Relation Officer Nnamdi Omoni The suspects  were  arrested On Tuesday 23rd November At No 47 Abel  Jumbo Street in Mile2 Diobu.
One of the Suspect who spoke to Journalist at the scene of the crime Onyema Ugochukwu, said they are not into Bunkering but blending of condemned oil which they turn back to Lubricant for Generator Use. He said at the end of the blending they get products like grease , engine oil which they sell to end users.No description available.
The 35 Years Old Onyema Ugochukwu  who is also the manager of the illegal Oil dump company hails from Imo state said they buy lubricants in a very large quantities and sell to unsuspecting retailers,  but denied involvement in an illegal refining of crude product, adding that the company was legally registered and explained the process of making the lubricants .
Other suspects Include Okiri Godbless, Ogbonna Emmanuel and Okubo-Ebi Ugochukwu who were also  arrested for the illegal dealing of petroleum products said they were only employed to work as helpers at the site, to get rewarded at the end of the day.
The Police Public Relations Officer Nnamdi Omoni said efforts are one to get others  who are also into the business He hinted that men of the state Criminal Investigation Department, CID;  stormed the area following a tip off. and vowed to continue such raids to  bring to an end the menace of Illegal bunkering activitiesNo description available.
Our Correspondent  reports that over 10 Tanks of products where seen at the site of the illegally oil production place  and that items recovered at the premises include 12.5kg gas cylinder, One gallon of sulfuric acid  and half bag of bleaching earth chemical.
