The Deputy Chief Whip, House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency Hon Barr Nkeiruka Onyejeocha Ph.D in return to Nigeria after attending the 60th Session of the OACPS Parliamentary Assembly and 41st Session of the ACP/EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly held at the European Parliament, #Strasbourg, France visited the family of the late Abia born gospel singer at Arco Estate, Abuja on Tuesday 12th April, 2022.
“It’s no longer rumour that one of our best brains in the music industry from Umuaku Isuochi in Umunneochi LGA Abia State was allegedly tortured to death by her husband.
Marriage is expected to be blissful and enjoyed by both parties but when the reverse is the case, it stands as a treat.
It is the duty of the husband to protect his family, wife inclusive.
To my sister, Osinachi Nwachukwu, she had a terrible marriage experience which eventually led to her untimely death.
As her representative, I visited her family and Children in Abuja to commiserate with them and see how we can be of help.
Meanwhile, I want to reiterate that the law must take it stand on this issue” Hon Onyejeocha says.
Barr Onyejeocha equally visited the Minister for Women Affairs Her Excellency, Dame Pauline Tallen and commended her for joining millions of Nigerians in demanding for justice for the late singer.
Hon Onyejeocha was accompanied on the condolence visit by the International President and CEO of Women In Politics Barr Ebere Ifendu.
