The absence of Dr. Farah Dagogo in court Tuesday stalled hearing in the case between him and the Rivers State Commissioner of Police CP Eboka Friday on charges of felony and cultism.
When the case was mentioned at the High court sitting in Port Harcourt The defense Counsel informed the court that the defendant was sick and could not be produced in court.
Justice Chinwendu Nworgu after listening to arguments by counsels to both prosecution and Defense, adjourned the case to 16th of May 2022 for further mention and plea taking as agreed by both parties
Speaking to Newsmen, Attorney General of the State and Commissioner for Justice Professor Zacchaeus Adangor explained what transpired in court.
He said Dr. Farah Dagogo who is facing a two-count charge of felony and cultism was also not produced in court on Monday at Magistrate court and since both parties sought the leave of court to move the matter to high court, which has proper jurisdiction to trail the matter on Tuesday, that his defense counsel told court is unable to produce the suspect due to ill-health.
